Before your visit
- Skip caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours before. Both thin the blood and can make the skin more sensitive.
- If your doctor agrees, pause blood thinners, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E and ibuprofen for 48 hours before. Never stop prescribed medication without asking your GP first.
- Stop retinol, vitamin C, glycolic or AHA acids, exfoliants and peels on the area for one to two weeks before.
- No brow wax or tint, or lash treatments in the area, for about a week before.
- Lip blush: if you are prone to cold sores, ask your pharmacist or GP for an antiviral and start it two to three days before, continuing a few days after.
- Lip blush: avoid filler or anti-wrinkle injections near the lips for about four weeks before.
- Come with clean skin and no makeup on the area. Eat beforehand and drink water so you are comfortable.
Aftercare
- Wash your hands before you touch the area or apply balm.
- Keep it clean and dry. If it gets wet, blot gently with a clean, damp pad. Never rub.
- Apply the aftercare balm we give you sparingly, with a clean cotton bud rather than your fingers, as directed.
- No makeup, skincare or active ingredients on the area for about 10 days.
- Let it heal on its own. Do not pick, scratch or peel any flaking. The colour looks darker at first and settles over four to six weeks.
- Change your pillowcase often and sleep on your back if you can.
- No swimming, saunas, steam rooms, spas or heavy sweating for two weeks. Keep direct sun and tanning beds off the area for two weeks, then use SPF.
- Lips: sip through a straw and avoid spicy, salty or very hot food for about five days, and no kissing for five days.
- Lash-line: no contact lenses for 72 hours and no eye makeup or mascara for 10 days. Leave lash lifts, tints and extensions for four weeks.
- Tell any facialist about your cosmetic tattoo before peels, microneedling or laser. Contact us if you notice spreading redness, heat, swelling or discharge.
02Lash Extensions
Before your visit
- Come with clean, makeup-free eyes. No mascara, eyeliner or oily eye products on the day.
- Go easy on caffeine beforehand. It can make the eyes flutter, which makes fine work harder.
- Take out contact lenses and bring your glasses. Tell us about any eye sensitivity, allergy or recent eye surgery.
- Pause any lash growth serum a few days before if it leaves residue on the lashes.
- Arrive on time and relaxed. The set takes a while and you will be resting with your eyes closed.
Aftercare
- Keep lashes completely dry for the first 24 hours while the adhesive cures. No water, steam or sweat.
- After that, cleanse them daily with a gentle, oil-free lash cleanser and a soft brush. Clean lashes last much longer.
- Keep oil away from the eyes. No oil-based products, waterproof mascara or oily makeup remover.
- Do not rub, pull or pick at your lashes, and skip the lash curler.
- Brush them through gently each morning with a clean spoolie.
- Sleep on your back or side if you can, so you do not crush them.
- Book an infill every two to three weeks to keep them looking full.
03Lash & Brow Tint
Before your visit
- Come with clean lashes or brows, with no makeup or heavy skincare on them.
- If it is your first tint with us, we will patch test 24 to 48 hours before. Tell us about any sensitivity or allergy.
- For brows, ease off exfoliants and retinol on the area for a few days before, so the tint takes evenly.
- Take out contact lenses for a lash tint.
Aftercare
- Keep the area dry and avoid steam, swimming and rubbing for 24 hours so the colour sets.
- Skip oil-based products, exfoliants and retinol on the area for a day or two, as they lift the tint.
- The shade looks strongest on the first day, then softens to its true tone.
- Wear SPF. Sun fades tint faster.
- No lash curler or heat right after a lash tint.
04Facial & Massage
Before your visit
- Come with clean skin if you can. We will double cleanse anyway.
- Tell us about allergies, skin conditions, products you react to, and any recent peels, injectables or laser.
- If your skin is sensitive, ease off retinol and strong actives for a few days before. Ask us if you are not sure.
- Skip strong exfoliation right before your appointment.
Aftercare
- Your skin may look a little pink and feel more sensitive for a few hours. That settles.
- Keep it simple that evening. Gentle cleanser and moisturiser, and no strong actives like retinol or acids for 24 to 48 hours.
- Wear SPF and stay out of direct sun. Skin is more sun-sensitive straight after a facial.
- Drink water and skip heavy makeup for the rest of the day to let your skin breathe.
- If you had extractions, avoid saunas, hot yoga and hard workouts for the rest of the day, and do not pick at your skin.
This is general guidance. You will get aftercare tailored to you at your appointment. It does not replace medical advice, so if you have a health condition or any concern, please check with your GP.
