Each stroke follows the direction and movement of your existing brow growth. Up close, you see fine strokes rather than a solid block of colour, giving the brows a fuller appearance without making them look heavily filled in.

Nano brows are best suited to brows with some natural hair and skin that can hold a fine, defined stroke. On very oily skin or skin with larger pores, the strokes may soften or blur as they heal. We will go through what to expect on your own skin so you can weigh nano against ombre or a combination brow, and the choice is yours.

Pigment is built gradually, usually lighter through the front and softly deepening towards the body and tail, similar to brow powder applied with a light hand. Because the result does not rely on individual hair strokes remaining crisp, it tends to heal more evenly on skin that struggles to hold fine lines.

Ombre brows are often well suited to oily skin, larger pores or naturally sparse brows. They may also be an option for previously tattooed brows, provided the remaining colour and shape are light enough to work over. If you would still like a few strokes through the front, a combination brow may be a better fit.

Hair-like strokes are placed through the front of the brow, then blended into soft shading through the body and tail. This keeps some natural texture at the front while giving the rest of the brow enough depth and structure.

Combination brows are a versatile choice for brows that are sparse or uneven in certain areas, or for anyone who wants a fuller, more defined result without the brow appearing completely solid.

The strokes are drawn one at a time with a hand tool rather than a machine, which is where the name comes from. Up close the result reads much like nano brows: individual strokes following your own growth, not a block of colour.

What differs is the skin it suits. A blade opens a fine channel, and that channel stays crisp on dry to normal skin. On oily skin or larger pores it softens and fades sooner, so we would point you at nano or ombre instead. Kate will tell you which way your own skin points before anything starts.

Pigment is placed between and just above the lashes, helping the lash line appear fuller and gently defining the eyes. From a normal distance, a subtle lash enhancement can look more like naturally dense lashes than traditional eyeliner.

The result can be kept very fine or built slightly stronger, depending on your eye shape and preference. The thickness and shape are mapped with you before treatment, and a wing is only added when requested and suitable for the eye area.

A sheer wash of pigment is placed throughout the lips to even out patchy tone and softly define the natural border. The result is closer to a tinted balm than opaque lipstick: it does not create volume or extend the lips beyond their natural shape.

The colour will look brighter and more intense during the first few days before softening considerably as it heals. Your final result will be influenced by your natural lip tone, so we choose the pigment together with a realistic healed result in mind.
