Policies

Booking Terms & Treatment Policies.

Worth reading before you book. The practical things: how an appointment is held, what happens when plans change, and what we need to know about your health. None of it replaces the conversation we will have with you.

Bracketed notes are details still being finalised.

General policies

Before booking

Have a read of the page for the treatment you are booking, along with the before and after care, so you know what the appointment involves and how to prepare.

Booking a time means you have read those instructions and the policies on this page.

Health and treatment suitability

Tell us about anything that could affect your treatment or how you heal: medical conditions, medications, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent procedures in the area, an active illness or infection, or skin that is irritated or still healing.

Very little on that list rules a treatment out on its own. Some of it means we look more closely, move your appointment to a better time, or ask you to check with your doctor first. Telling us early is what lets us plan around it rather than find out on the day.

Deposits and payments

A booking deposit holds your appointment and comes off the total on the day. [to confirm: deposit amount]

The balance is settled at the appointment. [to confirm: which payment methods we accept]

Rescheduling and cancellations

Plans change and we would rather hear about it. Give us at least 48 hours and we will move your appointment and carry the deposit across to the new time.

Inside 48 hours, or if an appointment is missed, the deposit covers the time that was set aside and does not carry over. A new deposit books the next one. If something serious has come up, tell us: we would rather know than guess. [to confirm: whether one late change is allowed before this applies]

Late arrivals

If you are running late, message us. We will do what we can with the time that is left, which may mean a shorter treatment.

If there is no longer enough time to do it properly and safely, we will rebook you rather than rush it, and the deposit is treated as a late change.

Preparation and aftercare

The preparation matters as much as anything we do on the day, and the aftercare is what most of your result rests on. Both are set out on the care page, and we go through them with you.

If the area is not in a state where the treatment can go ahead safely, we will rebook rather than push on.

Studio safety

This is a private home studio and the treatment room takes one person at a time. Please come on your own unless we have arranged otherwise beforehand, and leave children and pets at home.

If there is a health, hygiene or safety reason not to go ahead on the day, we will say so and rebook.

Photography and consent

We photograph the treated area for your treatment record. Those stay with your file.

Using a photograph in which you are recognisable, on the website, in a portfolio or on social media, is a separate thing and we ask you separately. Saying no changes nothing about your treatment, and you can change your mind later.

Refunds and your consumer rights

Once a treatment has begun or been completed, we do not refund a change of mind. If something has gone wrong, tell us: most things can be looked at, and we would rather do that than have you live with it.

Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Additional cosmetic tattoo policies

How a healed result varies

A cosmetic tattoo heals differently on every person. Skin type, oil production, metabolism, lifestyle, how you heal and how closely the aftercare is followed all affect how the colour settles and how long it stays.

We can tell you what is realistic for your skin. We cannot promise your result will heal the way someone else's did.

What the price includes

Your price covers the first appointment and the perfecting session 4 to 6 weeks later, which is where the shape and colour are adjusted once it has healed.

Anything after that is a colour refresh, priced by how long it has been. Those figures are on the cosmetic tattoo page.

If you already have cosmetic tattooing

Send us clear photographs before you book: daylight, no makeup on the area.

Existing work is not always something we can work over. If the old pigment is dark, heavily saturated, has migrated, or sits outside where your new shape should be, we will tell you what is realistically possible before you commit to a time. That conversation costs nothing and is better had early.

Not sure about something

If any of this is unclear, or you are unsure whether a treatment suits you, ask before you book rather than after.
